How It Started

Shaq and I came up together as apprentices. We worked for the same plumbing company, learning the trade side by side, talking every single day about what we were figuring out. We shared something most guys didn't: we actually loved the work. Not just the paycheck, but the problem-solving, the craft, the responsibility of fixing what keeps a home running.

After years of being friends and coworkers, we realized we kept saying the same things. We'd talk about how we'd handle things differently. We'd see gaps in how some jobs got done, how some calls were handled, what mattered most to homeowners and businesses. One day, it just clicked: we should do this ourselves. We both got our vans. We both believed in what we could build. So we started United Plumbers.

What We've Learned
